How do you start a discussion?

I just came to 'life' and then clicked on the link in the right side of the page which starts a new discussion ('start a new discussion' link). Is this the way you do it?
Or is it by using the link on the left top of the page and then choosing an interest in which you need to start the discussion? ('new discussion' link)

Obviously you can do it either way.
If the interest area that you want to post in is at the top of your screen at the time because someone posted there recently, it is probably easier to do it that way, but there is no right or wrong.
If you want to post and that interest is not at the top, then obviously look to the top left like you said, and look for the proper interest area to put it in.

hmm.. yes. For the interest to show up there, somebody needs to post recently. But what i used to do earlier was to go to 'my interests', then take up, say 'friend' and then do a start a new discussion. Never noticed the other direct way till sometime ;)
Its all fine now :)

I do that. In my front are the topics that interest me. Maybe when i was asked when I am new to it what are my interest and i said something about these topics which now appears on my front. Life is one topic full of things to discuss.

Hi sreekumarn86,
Yes you can do that way as well, but it best if you go into interest discussions that where you will get more response.
