There are far too many marriages that are breaking up

I knew a couple that were married almost 40 years and just recently were divorced. Although, most marriages do not last that long, that is a bad omen for marriage. If you look at history, the marriages that lasted longer were those where the parents chose the spouse.
Would you let your parents pick your mate if it would last until the natural death of you or your partner?

I think marriages are breaking up because it is too easy to get a divorce. People who should not marry are getting married because it is so easy to get a divorce. If it was harder, people would think long and hard before getting involved.
