Have you ever hold an insect by your hand??

The only ones I try to hold are ladybugs & caterpillars. My oldest got to hold a dragon fly and it was a huge one it had to of been alteast a good 4in not including wingspan.

So far, I have held the following insects in my hand: grasshoppers (I used to catch them by hand on purpose when I was a child, it was like a game with us); preying mantis (also as a child - I saw one in the garden, showed it to my grandmother because I didn't know what it was, and she took it and placed it on top of my forearm where it stayed rocking to and fro for quite a while) and; a butterfly (also as a child, I was in our garden again all by myself, and a butterfly just landed on the back of my hand - it felt wonderful!)

When a child I used to go fishing and I used to put my hand in the maggot tin and let them wriggle through my fingers, I really used to enjoy that, but not any more
