The Best Place On Earth?

We have lived a few places now and we are debating where we want to move next. We lived where it was cold in the winter, there was lots of snow, but beautiful trees, grass, and lots of green. Now we live where it is hot in the summer, decent in the winter, but trees just aren't real common here.
We want somewhere that is pretty and has a lot of natural trees. At the same time we would like it to be comfortable in the winter and the summer. We don't want a lot of snow, we don't want a lot of unbearable hot, and we don't want to loose beautiful outdoors to get it. We are American and definitely wouldn't mind living in another country as long as we could afford it.
Do you know the best place on earth to live? Do you live there now? Any suggestions on where we could move next?

Wow. That is a tough question, and one that is likely to get a lot of strong opinions. I suppose that part of the answer to your question depends on your definition of "comfortable". Someday, I would like to find a place that is about 70 degrees fahrenheit year round... Except, I also want to live in a place where there are no bugs, especially mosquitos (yuck!). That's one of the advantages of where I live right now, is that we are bug free for the majority of the year; unfortunately, the reason that we are bug free is that it is E X T R E M E L Y cold - so cold that the bugs can only survive for the roughly five months of mildly warm (and a few weeks of hot) weather that we get.
Best wishes in trying to find your perfect location!

We live in St. Louis, Missouri and do experience all 4 seasons. It does get hot here in the summer and humid but it's a pretty part of the country. It's cold here in January and can be snowy but the Division of Transportation gets the streets cleared within a decent amount of time. School districts are good as well. I would recommend it to anyone who is seriously thinking about moving to the midwest. We did stay in this area because my husband owns a thriving practice.
Good luck with your next move,
