who is the best guitar player?

in your opinion in any kind of music no matter what kind it is, who do you think the best electric guitar player is, i know that a lot of people would probably say john mayer would be one of the best and he is a great guitar player but i really think that keith urban and brad paisley are really great guitar players too, especially on certain songs it really shows you more, and then some would say that bb king might be the best, who do you think the best is past or present, give me your honest opinion on this...thanks for taking the time out of your day to read and hopefully reply to my discussion, i hope that you all have a great evening and night and the rest of your week is really good as well...thanks!

Angus L. Koolbreeze III is the best guitar player of all time. (Sidebar: No, just kidding. I play rhythm guitar mostly.)
On the serious tip, I view Jimi Hendrix, Brian May, Eric Clapton, B.B. King, and the late great Wes Montgomery very high on my list of contenders.

Some very overlooked guitar players are out there and it's kind of sad. Zao, Job for a Cowboy, Black Dahlia Murder, As I Lay Dying, Dillinger Escape Plan and Between the Buried and Me all have AMAZING guitarists. Of course Jimi Hendrix, BB King, Stevie Ray Vaughn etc were incredibly influential and innovative, but it's hard to beat the speed, accuracy and beauty of the guitars in Dragon Force.
