Do you think the Jews are really God's choosen people? I have thought and prayed on this alot. I think that Native Americans may be the ture choosen people of God. And I know the first question everone would ask is; why did God sent Jesus to the Jews if they are not his choosen people? Well the answer I've come up with is that God sent Jesus to save the sinners, Jesus himself said that only the sick needs a doctor. So maybe the Native Americans did need to be saved. They lived like the sparrow, they neither sowed or reaped but the land gave them ever thing they needed to live. They had great love for the land, never put anything on it they couldn't take with them. Were the dances the Natvie Americans really that diffent from being feeled with the Holy Ghost. I don't know it was just something I was thing about. And by the way the ture Jews don't even believe Jesus is the Savior. Would like to know what you think.

hardluck, Explanation accepted. Did you ever hear the story about the missionaries going to the native Americans?. They told them all about Jesus and how they crucified Him, After listening to the missionaries they replied saying - my white brothers if He had came and dwell with us we would have treated Him good and would not harm Him in any way, therefore, since it was you who treated Him so badly and killed Him do not get us involved.

I think any self-respecting God wouldn't play favorites, especially not across such trivial, arbitrary "race" lines. This whole "chosen people" thing is a distinctly HUMAN sentiment, not a divine one. Only humans could come up with something so shallow.

The Bible also says God thinks insects have four legs. There is no way any real god would be that stupid.

The Bible is clearly a corrupted work at best.

To begin my comments I would like you please make sure you have an open mind because what I want to say may be very different than anything you have seen in terms of comments here.
First of all here's how I and my religion believe. 1st about 600 years before christ there was a man who was commanded by the Lord to leave Jeruselem before it was to be destroyed in one of it's many turns. And this man and his family left the area.
Eventually their journies led them to what is now known as South America and Mexico.
There are numerous historical facts to back up what I have just quoted. There are temples that date pre Christ and where they stop is just post Christ. There are weather pattern's that show how they would have travelled according to the stories we study.
There are also a fair amount of scriptures that say Christ was to visit the "isles of the Seas" But I would have to do some research to remember where they are.
Any we believe that the native american indians and several of the other natives of the north and south american continents are decendendants of those people.
By now you may know that I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Otherwise known as the Mormons.
The book I refer to is called The Book Of Mormon. We know and believe it to be a second testiment of Christ. I know it to be a true history of the people on the American continent by Christ.
Now as per your comments on whether the Indians needed to be taught. Yes all mankind needs to be taught. Thus we are considered the Gentiles vs. the Jews who it was prophesied would reject the Lord.
I will not add more as it get's much more interesting
If you have questions please feel free to ask.

The Christ figure was not sent to the Jews he was sent to many except the Jews. We did not need him he was a thorn in the Jews side. The people he had follow him have spent centuries killing the Jews. No he was not sent to the Jews or The Native Americans or the Orientals or the Indians who live peacefully in the deep tropical forests. No he was only sent to certain folks. Then they decided to force their beliefs on others and force others to change their whole way of life to accomodate the Christ figure. I do not think that this is right. I think that there are many ways to honor the Supreme Being and that they do not include the Christ figure. I also think that there are many"chosen people"!

Actually the Jews were Gods chosen people. It says in the Bible. It does not say anything about the native americans. Everything in the end points back to the Jews where the temples will be in the end and who will come to know him. Nothing in the Bible suggest that it was Native Americans.
