Today a girlfriend asked me , how to make net friends through internet?

I know there are a lot of ways to make friends through interent, like using match.com, myLot, Myspace, facebook, but she particularly asked me how to do the settings in msn account, so that people can find her. I am not sure how to answer her because I have never tried this in msn. Anybody know about this? or maybe you have a better suggestion for my girlfriend?
