I am going to start sculpting Christmas pieces this week. I have a few pieces in my mind. I want to do a snowman with a little folk art twist to him. And a Cross with some folk art twist to it. I will post pics as this discussion goes along from the lumps of clay to the finished pieces.

It sounds great to me. If we are going to make homemade Christmas presents, then we had better get a move on and get it done. Your designs will be a chance for us to start getting inspired. I look forward to seeing what you are designing.

Oh .... Christmas, Christmas, what a horrible thought already!
I've found myself thinking about Christmas allot lately and I've even bought a couple of gifts which I've stashed away.
It's very sensible though, as you're making things to sell, to get them started nice and early. I'll look forward to seeing the photos.

Oh my goodness! LOL I just complained on Gather.com that Christmas is coming too fast, that the Christmas wish book is here already, and that means I'm going to have to think about hibernation soon. LOL Well in your case I understand because of how long it must take to make all those pieces, but I'm just not ready to see Christmas yet. LOL By the time you're done with those pieces, I will be though, because Christmas or not, I love seeing your work!

Responding from email so can't see any photos but look forward to seeing what your doing. A couple weeks ago I decided to get started on some Christmas things myself and started collecting things to use for wreaths - Have one almost done base is grape vines with silk flowers, ribbon and pearls (afraid the later are faux). I also have a bunch of pine cones to do another but not sure if I want to do them on pine boughs or grape vines.
Again, so much to do and so little time to do it in :(
