Yesterday i came across a friend on QQ which is a very popular instant communication tool in China.
I was surprised to learn that he hadn't started his work at that moment which is 12:00pm already.
He is in Macao.it's very strange.i know the working time differs in different cities and countries.but i didn't know there is so much big difference.
for me,i start to work from 8:00am to 16:30pm and we have one hour to rest on the afternoon.
how about you,my friend.pls write here your city, country and your working time.thus we can compare and learn how much diversity the world is in.

I work kind of different hours the 5 days I work. I work, all together, 25 hours, 9:30 to 3:30 on Monday and Friday. On Tuesday I work 10:30 to 3:30, on Weds I work 9:30 to 10 and from 1:30 to 4:30 and finally on Thursday I work 11:30 to 4. Why do I work such strange hours? because on the 3 middle days of the week I also go to my mom's and do things with her. The lady I work for understands I need to spend this time with my mom while I have her and is supportive of the odd hours.

My official timings are morning 8 am to eveing 5:15 pm . But i hardly turn up in the office at 8am int he morning. It would be already 8:30 am by the time i get up from my bed. actually it all depends on my team. Thay have offered me flexible timings for my office. The complete turn out for the day should be a minimum of 9 hours and 15 minutes. So normally, i would be reaching my office at 9:30 or 10. And leave my office at 6:30 or 7. Then i have my leaisure activities. I would either go to a gym or play some sports like cricket or tennis, so it would be 9:30 pm by the time, i reach my home. Oh by the way, I live away from home. So living a bachelor life, i dont think if it matters even if i reach my home by 11 pm in the night. So the least thing that my work demands is complete your day for the work, make a report and then i can leave, whatever time it takes.

Hi there sophialin!
In the Philippines, generally office hours is between 9am to 5pm. Others start at 8am and end at 5pm (this is very true with our government agencies). There are those who work on shifting schedules especially those who work in organizations that operate for 24 hours. My work time is not fixed. It varies from time to time. We have a new schedule every semester. I have an MWF schedule and I have a TThS schedule. This semester, my first class every MWF is at 1230am. The second and third is at 130 and 230pm respectively. The last is at 430pm. My first class every TThS is at 930. The second and third is at 330 and 430pm respectively. On Thursdays, I also have a class from 530 to 830pm.

I live in Florida, USA and I begin working at 8:30am until 3:45pm on the days that I work. But that is just me. There are people that work nights and evenings so they go in and work different hours than I do.

I believe you have heard of time zones. When I am happily tucked away in bed, some chaps are busy working in the US. They are like 6-8 hours behind my day! lol
