how to find a good online friend?
I think there are some good ways to do.
The first is to find a good blog and if its author has the same interest with you, then you can write an E-mail to him asking for a online friend.
The second is to find a good website which is posted many messages about making online friends.Then you choose one from them and contact with him/her.
The third is to use your chatting tool to find a good online friend, such as using QQ.Gmail or Skype!

yes it is a good one,i spend very little time on the internet nowadays because of my studies but in the holidays i used to send messages in social networking sites like myspace ,who ever replies i reply back and the chain goes on,but not all are friendly..lol
i tried some blog authors but they never replied to my mail at all.
