What's your comfort food?

Is there a particular food you associate with a childhood memory? What do you eat when you are feeling particularly down and depressed? For me, whenever I smell the aroma of popcorn, I remember my father staying home when there is a typhoon. He couldn't go to work, so that was about the only time we could ever spend time with him. He would pop some corn, and we would sit around the table and talk, or play some games. I associate the smell of popcorn with some of my fondest childhood memories with my family. How about you?

Hey, hey, wait! You'll ruin your diet! Think of yourself slipping into a nice, slim back evening dress and getting ready for a date with your significant other. And let go of that chocolate, for now. You can have it later when you're really feeling down.

I wonder if that's the same as the dessert we eat in Chinese restaurants. Its round, made of rice paste with something sweet inside, and outside its covered with sesame seeds. Yum yum!!!

Cookies and cream is my favorite flavor...mmm mmm. But I'd never pass up rocky road. Mango would be nice too. And ube. And fruit salad. I could go on and on. The only trouble is that everything goes right to my waste, and I have to labor like a slave before a millimeter ever goes off... :-(

Have searched for this discussion because i feel so down and low right now and am needing some comfort. I now crave for my ultimate comfort food which is: Blueberry/Strawberry/Raspberry Cheesecake. Just a slice, and with a cup of hot Swiss chocolate with marshmallows. I'd eat it slowly, letting it melt in my mouth, savoring the flavor, and just letting it soothe me while allowing th choco to warm me. SOmetimes though, i also crave for Arroz Caldo especially during the cold. It brings back so many feel-good memories and makes me feel that everything is just going to be alright. Hmmm...craving now, i am.
