Should i say somthing bout not getting an invite?!?!

So my friends is getting married next april & although were not as close as we usedf to be through school were still friends & im doing the makeup for her wedding, so i know im defienatly going to that. i found out today through my bestfriend that her engagment party is this saturday (nothing formal its just a bbq diner at her patners house) but its still the engagment party & all they girls have put in & organised a joint present which i put in but i wasnt sure of wen the engament party was... so what do i do now?? do i let the bride to be know that i havnt got an invite (it was the male who organised the invited) or just shrug it off n be glad im going tot he wedding?? so confused cause i really want to go.

It may be simple oversight but why not call and ask her directly. As a friend, you should be able to expect an honest answer from her. I understand to do this takes some courage but if you really want to be a part of the engagement party, it is worth asking about. The worst she can say is that you are not invited, right?
