holiday decorations

How much in advance of an holiday do
you start to decorate? Are you tempted to decorated early due to store timing? We like to
decorate about two weeks in advance and
only keep the Christmas decorations up
one week after Christmas. The other
decorations come down the next day.

I usually start decorating right after Thanksgiving and I notice a lot of people around here do the same thing. That way they have time to get shopping and other things done and think about holiday plans with family and friends. People here wait a month after Christmas to take things down since New Years is a holiday too.
