Be still and know i am God

I have talked to some Christian friends of mine and we all have a differnt veiw of this verse. I believe it means have a peace or stillness of heart as to allow God to take control of our lives and be able to communicate with us. Intersted in what you all think? In Christs Love, Shelley

i think god wants us to know that whatever he does is for our benifit and that we should leave everything on him and not wory about our future. He would do what is best for us all we have to do is relax and leave the rest on God.

I think this verse is focusing more on meditating on him, and shutting out the world to hear him

for me it means that be still or be at peace and do not worry for He is with you. just ask help and have faith in Him.

I think God wants us to take comfort in the fact that he is our refuge. He is with us always and we should trust him with our lives.

To me, "stillness" means undisturbed, as in having a sense of peacefulness.

Hi Shelley! I forgot what book and verse is that from. But i guess God said that to Moses? Anyhow, for me it is a timeless message of inspiration, a daily reminder that God is Sovereign and is control of our lives. We do have a choice and a free will but some things that are outside our control still happen. That's the time we should "be still and know..." that He is God. God bless your day!
