i had my cat since he was 6 month old and 2 years ahead of my 3 month old baby. during my pregnancy my husband and i was thinking of taking him to a friend or simply taking him out of our home for a year . but since my husband can't find a right place to keep, our cat sangor still stays with us.
on the first day we brought our baby home, our cat don't seems to bother not even wanted to be close to our baby. really he never try to go into our bed also (as the crib is just beside our bed). as he use to sleep on top of my head. i don't think it's a jealousy you could call it but i guess so. but you know he's a clever cat, it's like he knows that it's not allowed for him to make a load sound, so when he mhew it's really soft as in she's whispering ... what my husband did, he try to let him near our baby (not too near only to smell her and let the cat knows her) from time to time, little by little sangor started to come close to her crib and be her guardian... one morning on the 5th day since my baby was born we got scared coz the way the cat mhews near our baby and so i found my baby her nose got blocked from being too full. my husband got scared so we took her to the hospital and thanks God it's not a serious one. my only fear now, is that my baby get some sick because of our cat. coz i don't want to lose either or both....

I hope you keep your cat. Your baby will grow up learning to love animals and will be a better person. Your baby cannot get any cat illness. And, as you have already seen, your cat is going to take good care of your baby. I bet they will grow up to be really good friends. Good luck to all of you. I wish you a lot of happiness.

I dont think baby can get sick because of cat. Infact taking from what you wrote there i think the cat is becoming baby's guardian angel and as you know animals sense danger using their natural instincts and thats why sangor was warning/alerting you that baby has a problem. You should count sangor as a blessing because she has accepted baby and has started taking care of her. You should be proud of the cat. That was a really inspiring story.

thanks for the comment. I do really am proud of my cat, i agree with you he's our baby's guardian angel. It's just that some people says cats are not good for babies that's why i'm a bit worried. but thanks God so far my baby don't show any signs of being sick because of sangor.
thanks again... happy posting!!!

a baby might be able to get some kind of asthma or nose blocking from the fur of the cat
Although not visible, the fur is kind of floating in the air, and some problems might occur with babies and cats
