Paypal is safe. I use it a lot. At some stage you have to be totally honest and up front. At some stage you have to put your trust in a site. On the same basis, the site needs to know that you are honest and truthful in what you tell them and they need to verify your information. If you have nothing to hide then it is not a problem and the verification process goes smoothly. If you are concerned about your credit card then do what I do and have another card just for the internet. Set the credit limit low so you are not liable to a big withdrawal.
