In today's world, as you all know, it is impossible to live without antivirus on your system be it a pc or mobile. However a general user who doesn't know much about antivirus seems to be in a fix with so many solutions around. In my opinion Norton and Avast are best. What you use to stay secure?

Ya, you are right. AVG is a good antivirus also. But the combination of Avast Free with Zone Alarm seems to put viruses away.

If you are looking for free software then I'd go for AVG and the free online scanner from Panda Software. Both great.

the best in all respects is kaspersky. if you like an anti virus that is greatly effective yet does not hog much resources, use NOD32

I am using AVG Free Edition.. why? because its free to download, and it only consume few memory.I seldom use norton anivirus, because it consume large amount of memory...specially during start-up/boot-up.It's not advisable to use norton for slow computer..If you want to use norton better upgrade ur PC..
