I am moving house this week and have no idea how to decorate... I mean, I know how to paint etc but don't really know how I want it done or what colours I would like.
How are all your houses decorated? Does anyone have any crazy colours and prints on the walls or so you tend to go for the 'natural' look?
Please let me know so hopefully I can get some ideas.

Think about what style you want for your home. Do you like more traditional styling, comtemporary, modern? What textures appeal to you, metal, wood, bamboo? Do you want a formal feel to your home or something more relaxed and casual? There are really so many ways to go, so decorate to suit your own tastes. There are lots of websites and home&garden TV shows that can give you some ideas.
My living areas are decorated with a tropical feel, jungle-like. I have light green walls, prints with palm trees and tropical scenery on the walls, lots of houseplants, jungle animal figurines and a matching decorator plate and jar that are painted with giraffe-hide print and palms. My furniture is eclectic, that is, none of it matches, but I chose what I found appealing. We also have tropical fish and a little fountain in the corner so I can listen to the sound of trickling water during the day. It's very relaxing.

That sounds really cool. I would love a house decorated like that but realistically I know I would never have it.
I like modern stuff but not overly modern (if that makes sense)... traditional is ok but not into the whole idea of bare bricks and wooden beams and stuff, not that I would have that option anyway as my flat is a new build.
Thanks for the suggestions :)
