I understand your frustration jollibee. I am from the U.S.A. but we are stationed in Germany. When we first came it was hard because of the new culture and not knowing were to go for fun. I suggest trying to dive in head first. This is what I had to do. My husband is with the military so soon after we cam he had to leave us. I had to make do with what I could and it was good for me to be put in this situation. Now I am not nervous to just take off and explore. Even with out a car you could walk somewhere close just to see what you city has to offer. Good Luck;)

I am bored too. Maybe try researching something you love or learning a new language or something like that...

Welcome to the USA! Here are just a few suggestions to help reduce your boredom: 1. Take up some hobbies like sewing, crocheting, or other crafts and decorate your home!
2. Introduce yourself to the neighbors; invite them over for tea or coffee a couple times a week so you have some company.
3. Take up babysitting if you like kids, that will sure keep you busy!
4. Write articles about how it feels to be in a new land and publish them online. 5. Get a dog to play with and keep you company.
6. Join a group who shares an interest you have and ask if another member can pick you up for meetings and outings.

Hi ja,
Same here, only if we are neighbor! LOL! I am watching any movies in our Country and it helps me smile in a day even if I am alone, call it like crazy! LOL! Then, dancing alone following videos as my exercise, walking around the house when I need to take a deep breath , eating anything that I will see here in the kitchen as well as I spend the rest of the time, typing and mylotting!
hang in there, I know this is just temporary and time will come we will already complain that we are tired working..LOL!

You could always spend time mylotting, read a book, take a walk, go shopping, make friends, get a pet, I could go on and on....
