Would you agree that Yao Ming is China's best export?

To me, he is just Tall.. Freaking tall. It's unusual for a chinese to be this tall and I guess that's why people are interested in him. The Chinese have many great exports in the form of actors and directors.

Hello WATARIKENJI. Even I know who Yao Ming is, and I'm not even in to basketball! He's very popular here in the U.S. I have watched him play basketball on TV and he's fantastic. After viewing the closing ceremonies of the Olympics (I missed the opening), I can see there are many talented and wonderful people in China! What a group of hard-working performers that was! Incredible!

Nope, he's not the best export from china, because other than him, there's still, Liu xiang, the 110m hurdles champion in athens 2004, as well as actresses like, Zhang ziyi and Tang wei, plus not forget all the famous directors from china too ^_^ That's y, YAo ming is not really that great after all..

He seems like a very decent person but he needs to be able to stay healthy. He has been getting overworked and thus in each of the last couple seasons he has been injured. He hasn't really helped the Rockets take the next step in the NBA yet. They are better with him but he needs to stay healthy and help them do more in the playoffs.

I agree He is the most Popular export. I think the best EXPORT CHINA has made is The Wonderful event they presented on the Olympiads.

i am glad to notice that there is a friendly talk about my idol Yao and can't wait to join u.well, i am a chinese ,so more chinese aspects are considered by me . no matter the effect of introducing the real,new china to the world by simple basketball sports ,or the effet of promote the basketball development in china,Yao has done well and as a result,he gain the whole chinese nation's praise. the most important thing is that, maybe my idol ---Yao has been china's best export since now,but,we can't assure what will happen in the future,right?there is an old chinese saying that "best doesn'e exist,what we can expect is better,keep getting more better,at last,'better'will be better than best.",haha,have u got what i have said. well,let me give u an example,u know,Yao has got married,sooner or later,there will be a little Yao,based on the excellent gene of his\her parents ,we can trust there will be "a better Yao" for us. well,if little Yao is a boy ,we can keeping on watching NBA,if not,i think we should pay more attention to the WNBA.lol
