Connection problems

We have been plagued with wireless problems lately. I was having problems keeping my laptop connected to the network in our home and getting online. I have been constantly having to restart the wireless device. We thought we had that fixed last night. My husband thought it might be the wireless card in my laptop, so he brought up his USB wireless and put it on my laptop. Well, I had no problems all last night or this morning until about 15 minutes ago. Now, we have decided it has to be on the outside phone lines. We will sync with one and not be able to connect to the Internet. We haven't called AT & T because we've been told by one technician, if we call again, they'll cut us off! That is intimidating a customer, considering they are the ones who put us on DSL. I would definitely hate to go back to dial up. That would be SLOW, plus we'd have to have two phone lines which we don't have to have with DSL. But these connection problems are driving me wild. It's been going on for about 3 weeks and doesn't seem to be getting better. Anyone else out there having similar problems? If so, what did you do to get your connection back up and running without problems?

AT&T telling you that is horrible, he/ she should be reported. They charge you a fee and it is their duty to service you when a problem arises.
I have DSL modem and it is working great.
Sometimes you may want to uninstall the wireless thing and reinstall it again.
I don't have a laptop, but I have two computers at home using one DSL network modem and it has worked great. I just have to use a wireless adapter for the second computer to pick up signal.
Hope you get your problems fixed soon.

My husband did report him. They've been nice since then. Hopefully, he will never come out here again! He's the one that left the wires loose on the pole and my husband found it and fixed the problem. This problem just started and we have no idea what it really is. I've been online all the time tonight with no problems, and usually, it has knocked me off many times at night.
