I don’t believe in destiny. I think you get what you work for and that its not pre-determined by some magic ‘word’ or ‘place’. Like when people talk about me and say ‘he was destined to be an soccer player’ because I play so well. The truth is I wasn’t destined for it, I practiced long and hard for it. Day and night, non stop. Now is that destiny? Or is that just plain old hard work?

How often have you heard the expression, I'm waiting for my ship to come in?
Don't wait swim out to it.
Some people have no imagination of how things could be different for them, well you have to do different things to get different results. If you always do things the same you cannot expect the outcome to be any different.
I believe you create you own destiny by your actions.

Hey skenthal its not like that destiny holds for bold and excellent person also ....
See you are saying so because you achieve your goals ...many time in life time comes when you get zero after working very hard and long.....you dont commit any mistakes ....you work hard ....still you loose at times....because the circumstances gets in favour of other person or your opponent ......
Even some success comes to you even you have not done a pennys effort for it ....thats destiny and not result of any hard work
Then comes destiny and its meaning into picture ......
Even if u dont believe in destiny its great you have your princple to live same way others have their own....
Even I use to think like you when I was 20 ...know i realize yes destiny is a big thing
Thanks

i believe that you have to do your own work as well in doing things in life and not just laid back and relax and wait for things to happen. yet that doesn't mean it's not your destiny to be there, you just have to do some work which is along that path of sailing towards what you gonna be.
i had some questions for you to ponder. how many of us here in this world wanted to be a football player? how many among them practiced so hard? with that how many of them get better in the long run? were they as good as you if you have the same perseverance and dedication? there are so many aspiring football players but only a few chosen to know how to play it well. it's the skill within you that brought you up there in the limelight.
anyhow, this is just what i thought it is..!!

You set a goal, worked for it and are a soccer player because you did that.
Someone "saying something" never destinates anything for us unless we choose
to do it ourselves.
Sure, if we hear others say things we can "let it get to us".
You made a good point. If someone said you were "destined to end up being
a low-life" would you take the "cowardly way out" and become one?
Life is a game
play it to win.
