Hey all,I have had the opportunity to study in my home country (India where I did my undergrad) as well as USA (where I did my post grad). Both the countries have a totally different system of education. In India, we are more theory oriented whereas in the US education seemed more hands-on and practice oriented. I believe they are both needed in their own way but personally prefer the practical part of it more. Whats the education system like in your country? What do you think would be the best method to impart better education?

Hello Bindishah... Congratulation, you got what you wants. Well there are too different between US and UK education oriented. Let see, Malaysia my country and India are the part from British ex-colonization. So the Education oriented still same from them where theories are the main. Im still in degrees study at Malaysia. For my opinion, im totally agree with you. Im more prefer practically education oriented. Better from you just learned the theories that make my head stuck.. Learned without practice is too bored.

Yeah if you are not allowed to put theory to practice then it all to waste. Guess maybe there should eb an integration of both systems of education.

Uganda's education system is also too theoretical and professional. I believe the Liberal Arts college in America offer a holistic education, and I think they have the best education anywhere. I'm currently studying Economics in Uganda, but want to do my postgrad in the US or Britain, esp with the big five universities.

Thats nice to know. I do hope you get into the university you want. To get into a postgrad program in the US you need to give your GRE. I dont think you need to for UK though. Best of luck for getting into a good program.
