Temp agencies and resume

Has anyone ever worked for a temp agency for a period of time? How would you list your assignments on a resume? I've only worked for one agency and I've only had one assignment thus far, so I am able to fit the information on my resume. I just met with someone from another agency today, hopefully I will be able to get more assignments soon. But what is the best way to show work through a temp agency on a resume? Listing "Temp" as a position seems weak somehow, or at least it does on my own resume.

Hello Missy K I have worked for a temp agency for an extended period of time, how about five years. I list the agency with my beginning date and a short description of the assignments I was sent on. I did not list descriptions of jobs I did not want to be considered for. One assignment I had was the "potato chip" factory for a major grocery chain here in San Antonio. I did not put that on my resume...It was outside my normal job assignments and I did not want to receive that type of assignment again. I am now disable, however, that was the way I posted my resume. I was actively job searching for part of the time I was working for the temp agency. One of the job skills I do have is assisting with resumes.

Would it be misleading to say that I worked at one temp agency from say February-present, even though I've only been able to get one assignment from the agency? The assignment I was on was only for a week.
