I am the eldest in the brood of 4. My sisters & 1 brother rely on me in almost everything. Never, as in never did I ever feel annoyed or pissed at them. Sometimes my help isnt appreciated, sometimes it is. Still, I dont get tired of being the elder sister, helping them in little or huge ways.I love them all so dearly, I just want them to be happy and healthy.

Hi lipsticknladdles. Thanks for your response. Thanks also for the help you give, may God bless you for it. I am one of the middle children and there is a majority of them who will come looking for my help and I do get annoyed sometimes if I have helped them and then they have basically turned their back on me. I am the eldest of 5, and I have only 1 sister. I can't say I ever recall getting annoyed about helping her or any of my siblings. We all seem to have trouble voicing our needs to each other, but we also have the ability to read one another quite well. If it is a problem one of us can handle we do, but if it's deeper then we will rally together and do whatever is needed. What is strange to outsiders is that at times two of my siblings will not be speaking to each other, and this can go on for an extended period sometimes, but if there is something serious happening to one of them, then that problem will no longer matter, and everyone one bands together to do whatever is needed. We may fight amongst ourselves, but no outsider is allowed to do or say anything to harm one of us, or they will see just what sort of bond we all have, even if two or more are on the outs. Now that we have grown children of our own, and our children have as strong a bond as we siblings do, this becomes quite a show of force. (especially considering how big all the men are, and besides my sister and I the only other girls are my two daughters). Annoyed with my sister? Never!!!

If I have the free time and I have the ability to do it, I'll surely help her out. I think that is one of the many roles a sister should do.
