That is perfectly alright as long as you both love each other then age will really not matter. You should not feel that way in such an early phase in your relationship as later on that will drag the love down and make you feel more and more the age gap between the two of you .

Age doesn't matter it who you are are etc. I am five and a half years older than my husband and we have four children, oldest being nearly 20. Forget about age and enjoy your boyfriend

My girlfriend is older then me still it has been almost two years now, and I really don't care what people say,as long as we have us. Age is just in the mind. As long as we do accept each other for what we are and for what were gonna be,even our mistakes and faults. I will be with her and would like to spend my life with her forever. Age is nothing, it's just what people write on the paper. I think you heard about this before. My opinion is three years is not a problem. Just don't get bothered what people, they always say, anything... So just ignore what people say and go on... Just a little advice, if you want to be serious, get married as soon as you can.

I think it will depend to you and your BF. If you enjoy each other's company then age doesn't really matters. There are cases wherein the relationship fails because of how compatible they are with each other its not really about their age difference that really matters.
