My best trip was in 2006 when I got a cheap flight to Cancun in Mexico and explored Belize and Guatemala. I stayed in a backpackers hostel, a beach hotel, a tree house, a hotel on the edge of the jungle and a riverside lodge. I traveled by bus and boat. I spent a lovely and relaxing time on Caye Caulker going on snorkeling trips to see sharks and sting rays. I went on a boat trip to see manatees, protected by boats using oars not motors. When I was at the tree house I went on an exciting cave adventure. I went to Tikal National Park where I climbed the Mayan ruins. There I walked though the dark jungle and climbed a Mayan temple to enjoy watching the sunrise. I saw a Mayan ruin in Belize after a boat trip to see crocodiles. It was exciting to hear a jaguar calling. I loved the adventure I had on that fantastic trip and seeing the different landscapes from tropical beaches to cool jungles. The local people were friendly and the culture was interesting.

I loved Spain. Specifically I loved the city of Barcelona the most. It is such an amazing city. It's got a bit of a big city vibe to it, yet it still feels like a small town. I loved Las Ramblas. The subway system in Barcelona seemed a lot cleaner and safer than in other cities, which was nice. The trip was nicer than some others for me, because I was traveling with some people I knew. I went with my high school Spanish Club and a few of my good friends were on the trip, too.
