Parents, what do you do about cleaning?

If I was a parent, we all know what I'd do. All the things on the floor would be going up the vacuum. What do you do though? Do you tell your children you are going to vacuum their toys up or do you tell them to clean it up and then help them? What do you do to clean?

i usually do the vacuuming when the kid is at school. so i have to do a "walk thru" check before i head towards her room. but i do that anyway just cause ive gotten coins and rubberbands pulled up into the vaccum and even killed one before because of change i didnt realize id gone over!
so i always walk thru and pick up any bits that i should vacuum up.
