How do the sites get ads?

Well I am going to launch a new website of my own interest . I have prepared that well and what I am not understanding is that how do the sites get ads. I am not asking like ptc google ads . I am just asking those ads which pay us when we show their ads. Any one suggest me so that i could be guided
