"Seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness" Matthew 6:33
PRAYER
Do you ever think you'd rather be anywhere than in a prayer meeting? Do you find it hard to know when God is speaking to you? We'll your not on your own. What Christians often fail to realize is that prayer isn't a boring job we have to endure to please God; no way! prayer is talking to the maker of heaven and earth. Jesus promises us that amazing things will happen when we pray to God with a sincere heart and Faith. Listen, when two or three come together in my name, there am I with them ( Matthew 18:20), so when we pray together God shows up...that's His promise. Jesus also said 'You may ask anything in My name, and I will do it' (John 14:14). That doesn't mean that if you say, 'I ask for a Ferrari in Jesus 'name' Jesus has to give you one. When we pray and ask God for things, He is looking at our hearts, not jotting down all the fancy words we use. He wants to know that our motives for asking are right and in line with His plans in our life. Sometimes we ask for things we think will be good for us but He knows would mess us up. So how do you know you're on the right track? Well, Jesus gives us a tip, ' Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well' (Matthew 6:33). If you put Him and and your relationship with Him first, and press in and pray, you will be amazed at the adventure He takes you on!

wingrace, (Do you ever think you'd rather be anywhere than in a prayer meeting? Do you find it hard to know when God is speaking to you? we'll your not on our own).
Please tell me, when you are praying to God is it a two way conversation or a one way where you do all the talking and He just listens?.

wingrace, Why don't you say what really happen when you are talking to God. Don't you realize it is like talking to yourself, if you telephoned Him there would be nobody at the other end. Read what you wrote, He speaks to you, by you reading the bible and answer you through a third party. Does that make sense to you?. How old are you?. Are you in kindergarden class?.

when i talk to God.. Sometimes it's a one way conversation.. but there are times He also speaks at me.. there are many ways: in His word, at times when you read the Bible and there are passages that really speaks to you... and that's His way.. another is through the people around you.. God is just using them as instrument so He could communicate with you.. and a lot more.. just discover how he works and you'll be amaze..

you say he's answering me in a third party, yes it make sense because for me He is extending my faith. I didn't say He answers me every time through other people, i said that's one of His way, Why? have you already tried to talk to Him and answers you. There is one instance that I told Him about how I feel today, I told Him that I feel sad, and I ask Him to help me feel happy, and a moment later my friend will text me or call me, and that's His way of answering me. I even heard Him say that I never live you, you will just hear Him through the heart and not with your ears.

I always hear person say that praying is talking to God, so if from a sincere heart I say "Jesus I Love You", is that praying. Does it matter how long you spend praying or rather how truthful you are when you pray. Also does it matter the position you are in when praying . Another thing; is there such a thing as silent prayer,I believe there is. my reasoning is that the Bible say when you pray go into your room and shut the door,so to me that door can mean a physical door or the door of the heart. it may just basically be telling us that for a moment shut everything out of our heart, and let that moment be between God and you and the thing is it doesn't matter where you are. Can't we always communicate with God from our heart? he did say that man look at the outward appearance but God looks at the heart, so he knows what going on in our heart.

praying is just talking to God.. as usual as conversation with your friend. God doesn't mind of anything like where you're praying or how long your prayer is. As long as you're sincere to your prayer, that's the best way to talk to God.. as it is said in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 pray without seizing.. God just love to hear from you.. and don't forget to listen to God also
