I have two wonderful sisters. Though we have been through bumps in the road we are really a tight knit group. We share so many things in common yet are totally different personalities. For the most part we really get along and that is so special to have someone you can rely on. This weekend I made this little card to send to both of them because we are always trying to lose weight! LOL...Do you have a sister or sisters? Do you get along with them?

What a cute card! does it open up?
Yeah, I have 2 older sisters myself, we also have different personalities, and one thing I've noticed, and they as well, is that we are ALL indecisive, which we get from our mother lol.
BUT, if the other sister, sisters, are in the same room, on the phone talking to the indecisive sister, we tend to get them to make their decision faster and not regret it...until much later sometimes though lol.
You can't tell that we're sisters either, the oldest has black hair blue eyes, the middle one has red hair blue eyes, and I have brown hair brown eyes.
Antoher quirk that we all have in common, we all do an eyebrow raise, and our voices are almost exact over the phone.
Welp, good luck with the dieting!!

I once had a great relationship with my sisters until they decided they didn't liek my boyfriend and wrote him a nasty letter without me knowing. Not only did they curse him out but had a few untrue things to say about me, all in the hopes that he would leave me be...of course he showed me the letter and since then we have hardly spoken. So cherish your sisters...not everyone is fortunate to have the same.

I have one sister and she's younger than I am by 7 years. For a very long time our lives didn't meet. She had a life of her own and I had mine. But when I was in my early twenties, we started bonding. Of course, we had our set of major fights too. In the past one year, we've got to be very close to each other and after her last visit, she said that I've been more of a mother to her and she really appreciates that. And she loves spending time with me. It touched my heart:)

Because I love stamping....and because we all like getting mail! LOL....it was a joke for a while..we would send each other a card every week and that lasted a long time! Sometimes it's nice to go to the mailbox and get something without a bill or junk mail in it! And since we are always on a diet I found this set of stamps and thought it was perfect! On the inside it says....all I've lost is 31 days!

Hey Jill,
I also have two sisters. One is my twin and the other is my older sister. My twin and I have a bond like no other bond. Even though we are fraternal twins we most often fit the mold of identical twins. If we weighed the same. then our looks would be almost identical. Our personalities are much alike but also very different. My twin, Lainey is a narcisisst. Meaning that it's all about her. Anywhere, anytime, any place. When we are together we connect as only sisters can. I tend to take a step or two back in order to keep peace. She is totally unaware, unless I somehow get attention overriding hers. It immediately changes her life of the party mood. She becomes defensive and aggressive. It's not only me that must endure this behaviour, but everyone she knows and loves. Don't misunderstand, she is also a very loving and giving person, as long as she gets her accolades.
My other sister Lin, is a very loving sister and tends to be more like me in life experiences and what we have learned from them. We haven't lived the life of ease and rewards that Laniney has reaped. We have struggled with all kinds of hardships through out our lives and have become better and happier people because of it. Lin and I never fight. We allow each other our differences and learn from them.
I love both of my sisters and wouldn't want to have to live without them.

ps I have six brothers. They are another story.

Precious,
My twin is one and a half inches taller than me also. I'm probably more like 30 pounds more than her. We also say the same things at the same time. We show up places wearing almost identical clothes. We often call each other at the very same time. One of us will pick up the phone to call just to have the other waiting for pick up. Its really fun to be a twin. I will send you my email sometime in the next couple of days so we can really communicate without boring everyone else here.Talk to you soon.

Hi Leenie, I think I'd like to be friends with you since we have some things in common. My twin and I are identical; and while we're very much alike, we're also very different. We're what's called mirror twins because what I have on one side she has on the other - like looking in a mirror. I am, however, 1 1/2" taller than she and at least 10 pounds heavier. Our mother has told us that before we could talk we'd be in one room together, both get up at the same time, one go in one direction, the other in another direction and would end up in the same place. It was like we communicated telepathicly, and even now we very often say the same thing at the same time and will wear basically the same colors without planning it that way. I'd like to hear more about you and your twin.

Yes, I have three older sisters. I'm close to all of them and love them dearly. I still live with my two sisters while the eldest is in Arizona (we're from the philippines). I don't remember myself ever fighting with any of them probably because I'm the baby in the house. Until now that we're already adults they still pamper me.

I am blessed with two sisters, one is 16 months older and the other is my twin. As I'm sure you can imagine, I'm particularly close to my twin sister; but my older sister is very dear to me as well.

That's great you have two sisters and all get along well. Unfortunately I don't have any sisters. I do have an older brother and we get along fine. We didn't for several years because of the financial messes left from our parents. Once my husband and I cleared up everything financial for my parents, my brother and I had a good relationship. It was a problem that didn't need to happen if our parents had planned for their future. I resented no financial help from my brother but have moved on and let it go. It was time to save my sanity..lol

Thanks. I couldn't move on with my life knowing my brother and I weren't speaking because of money matters with our parents. Just didn't make sense and I wanted him back in my life. When my mother passed away, she knew we were speaking again and spent time together. And my job was complete as a daughter and a sister!

I have one sister. My relationship with my sister is basically non-existent you could say. Okay, so there were a few good times when we were growing up, especially before I started grade school (though I barely remember those days ), but once we were in the same part of the school she didn't want me around her. And it only went downhill the older we got. When we were teens she only want to be my friend when she felt like it, which was rare. I wouldn't deny it as she is my sister, after all, but that soon came to an end.
When we were in high school (I was a freshman, and my sister was a junior) I tried to warn some of my friends about my sister's attitude. Of course, they did not believe me. That is until one day they saw it for themselves when they said hi to her at school. LOL
She moved out of our mom's place a short time later after they had a falling out. That was back in 1990 or 91. I didn't see her again until 2001 at my childrens' birthday party. I was surprised, and even a little happy that she showed up. But when I said hello to her, she snubbed me once again and didn't say single word to me. So I left it at that and didn't say anything more to her. I haven't seen or heard from her since.
Sorry if I brought you down, but hey you asked!

No, not really. After all, I've been used to this for some time now. I do feel bad for our mom though, as my sister wants nothing to do with her. How could someone be willing to break all ties like that with one of their parents?

I have one sister and she is next to my mother. She takes care me a lot and i too. We share most of the thing happenning to us and its really a useful for us in life as we are in opposite gender. Whatever problem she faces i could give propoer guidance as male and she could also...This is the better advantage we have...as she can thinks as female well than i can think in their few. It helps us in moving with other peoples.
Really a great one to have sharing sister for a beloved brother

I have 2 younger sister, one 4 years younger than me and the other 6 years younger than me. Both of them still in school bench and I'm a part time student. When we were younger we fight a lots, i mean a LOTS! Until my parent had to separate us in different room to keep the noise down. But now, we are sleeping in the same room. As we grow, the bond grow stronger too. We goes out at least once a week. And we talk about almost everything. I enjoy my time with my sister, don't you? =)

We just to hang around with our sister, right?
It's just so much fun and you no need to afraid that if you say something wrong and you won't be sister anymore. Like the Chinese says "blood is thicker than the water".

...it is, actually. I also have a half-brother who I haven't seen or heard from in longer than that. However, there's a bit of animosity on my mother's part for over two decades that has played into all this...
