I actually took a few lessons trying to learn this but it was just to confusing for me lol...But I don't learn new things well, just the kind of person I am so I would never turn anyone away from it I think it is amazing...Which is why I tried...So if you are thinking about doing it go for it!

I am actually taking a course right now on the Braille alphabet. I am learning Braille entirely by touch. The next course is that of uncontracted Braille, and then grade 2 Braille which is contracted Braille. After that, I want to study the Nemeth code, which is the Braille code for mathematics and science. I would like to someday also learn to read music in Braille. I want to master Braille. Maybe someday I could even teach it or go into Braille transcription.
You're right. It's not exactly the easiest thing to learn. Thank you for trying, though!

It's not a bad idea to learn it. Maybe you could eventually correspond with a blind person who knows Braille, or something like that.
When I found out that only ten percent of blind people know Braille, the low number amazed me. It's as bad as a sighted person not knowing how to read print.
So, apparently, not that many people know Braille nowadays, which is sad.
