How to increase my reputation ?

hello winzpc, sorry to hear that your star rating goes down,. dont worry that thing is very typical out here - one day it is high, one day you are the lowest. just dont let it bother you coz such rating dont represent you really. i said this coz some people likes to give negative rating to one despite the quality post, for some reason they just dont like the poster. once you receive enough negative in your discussion or comment, you can be assured that your star rating (number inside your star) will go down. you have to understand that even if you are very active here, it wont make a difference in your star number/rating. the only way it goes down is the people who is reading your words. i dont know where you post or how you communicate with others but i have to say that if you like to give different views with others - that often leads to get a few negative rating. i honestly dont give any negative rate to anybody be it same or not to my views as i feel that we are all entitled to our own views. if you really care about your star rating/number here is my few cents for you: * avoid going to discussion that you feel will tackle differences of views. * accept every body who post in your discussion or comment, i mean dont argue with them even if you dont like their post. * go to discussion that mostly your friend started coz often they value the friendship and wont give you a bad rating. if you cannot follow the guide i gave you, then it is best to just be you and go to discussion that you enjoy PROVIDED that the down rating will not affect you at all. have fun, that is all that matters out here - not the number next to you! takecare

I have a few question 1. what can reputation do? 2. how exactly can the reputation point increase

I know that decreasing rating is a very common problem for most mylotters and I know I have suffered from star rating decreasing,and it is not because you do not log on, the reason your rating decreases is because someone rates you negatively which there are trolls that like to go through and rate people negatively for no reason that I can figure out.

Someones give you a negative ratings,in your opinions or discussions thats why your reputation is going down.

I am not aware about the star reputation. I think star reputation is marked with the number of posts you made. I think after completing the first 500 the color star will change and I see some number in the star with some 5 with some 8. Do you think this is our reputation. Please tell me more about it. I will appreciate.

ha ha that is also one of my goal here in mylot. and I still don't know how it works but one time when I checked on my interest rankings and I saw some of the were ranked really low, I decided to work on it and I was shocked to see that my star goes down from 9 to 8. so the next thing I do is just concentrate on the interest that I am ranked high, and so my star went back to 9.

reputation has something to do with members rating you with your posts on hand, when they like it they rate you +, even you are not online and they rated your post or not your reputation should not go down. it will only go down when members give you a negative ratings in your posts and that's inevitable. so keep on posting quality discussions and response and surely in due time it will go back to where it was or perhaps go even higher.!!

I don't know what you are talking about 90/100?. I think the reputation doesn't do anything with what you said, 90/100? what I know about this is that, people here on mylot are the ones voting you to have that reputation. It depends upon how you rate other's discussion, the way you give sensible responses, and the way you interact with other mylotters. If you are friendly and respectful to others' opinions, you are fine. But if you are rude and argumentative, well you are in danger of low reputation. Anyway, some [people said, it foes not affect your earnings and this I am not sure also, Good luck.. just be kind and friendly and you are in....

Well it depends on how the users here rate your discussion. If i were you I will just do my best and forget about the reputation. Don't let the ratings affect you so much. Anyway what matters is how true you are to yourself and how you really are in person.

Hi winzpc, My star rating keep going up and down but don't worry about that just keep posting as much as posiable and it will soon go up again, I was soo angry last week when that happened to me but that is not important and don't affect your earnings. Tamara

As I experience from my MyLot reputation as well and it is slowly increasing now and it is sign of good term that I am doing well in here and I am still posting more response from my friends list of discussion and made my own discussion as well and give them comments back when they will replied on me as long as I can manage to give them back the replied and then try to post quality discussion in each of the response I made to earn a beat Response slowly it would help you to gain your MyLot reputation........

Even I am in great doubt. Three days back I had 10 in my star. The next day I was not able to come online. And the star rate reduced to 9. I was just stunned. People say that only if our fellow mylotters mark as negative we do get reduced in our ratings. Why do people want to mark as negative when we are not here. Then the next day I was just active here and got back my 10. I don't really understand the logic of this. Better to come online atleast once a day to maintain the rating.

i still don't know what is my star rating,heihei,whatdoes it represent?mylot is a not bad platform,people from all the world can discuss freely,if we can submit more good notes and get the other's appreciation,we can get high rating,i think,but i have no rank now!
