Astral Projection

Hi everyone. I was wondering if any of you knew anything about Astral Projection? I have been attempting this for a long time now, ok slightly weird, but I have not been able to achieve any results. The saying goes that when we sleep at night we leave our bodies and Astral Project into other times and dimensions. Is this true? I would certainly love to experience this and I'm wondering if anyone else has had this experience. I guess the closest thing it would relate to is an out of body experience, I certainly have never had an out of body experience. I have read several books on Astral Projection ad out of body experiences but somehow, I just cannot get myself into a trance or my body relaxed enough in order to achieve this. Don't worry I'm perfectly sane!!!

I've got several books packed away on the subject. I also tried it for years and had no sucess. Like you I couldn't get my mind clear enough. I haven't met anyone that is actually able to do it but I have read about some instances where ppl succeeded at it. ~~MY OWN PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG AND BELIEVE IN YOURSELF**

Could you imagine the places you could go if you could accomplish it? There's nothing you couldn't see. ~~MY OWN PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG AND BELIEVE IN YOURSELF**

I think that I have given up trying to achieve this now as it is such hard work! I may try again at some point in the future. It sure would be a nice experience though if I were to achieve it. Andrew

Hi Andrew! How have you been? Oh yes...you are perfectly sane...as I am...though,I do not tell so much people aside from my family my gifts on this matter. I call them gifts because I need to live with it. I am one of those that, lets say...see things, feel things and experience things...LOL. I never attempted to develop these gifts as I feel it is not normal. Unfortunately,I am not so happy with the "gifts"...I just call them gifts so to assure myself that they are not bad or (shriver)demonic. Astral projection scares me. I see myself asleep. Sometimes I feel to be floating only looking at my physical self...but sometimes,it can be sort of a nightmare. This maybe because I do not know how to cope up with the ability,I struggle to go back to my body. I could not have control over it because I left it as it is. Experts say,I need to study it...and practice.but I prefer not to.Since I could not control it,I cannot make it happen as I want it nor stop it. But what I notice is, astral projection in me doesnt just happen anywhere...it happens in places where I can feel so much presence...I dont know what the presence are often times. My 2 kids got these "gifts" too. Like, they say "mom, there is somebody standing along the hallway..." They see the presence too, I see it before them,I do not say a word until they notice it too. I confirm it and we offer silent prayers. I am perfectly sane,I am not making this out...and I prefer not to have these things at all. This is the first time I am saying this in public. Have a good day and I am wishing you have my abilty as I dont want it.

Hi, that is quite a response! Thanks for the information that you have shared. I have heard or read about some of the experiences you have shared. I guess I'm still enthusiastic about having an out of body experience but, I fear that I won't achieve this now as I have become idle in practising the things that need to be done in order to achieve this. I guess that, once you are out of your body, this is a sure sign that we can exist without the body! Anyway, it's a real privilege to discuss this with someone that actually has these experiences. I wish that I could take it from you then you would not have to endure the things that you do. Many thanks chingbeem. Andrew

Hi, yes it's definitely an interesting subject and I have read many books on the subject and they all seem to be saying the same thing and that is, that this is really possible if you put your mind to it. I have tried laying down on my back and relaxing, taking deep breaths but none of this seemed to work. I guess it's a form of meditation so if you have you mind clogged up with all kinds of different thoughts then it's hard to concentrate on what you are trying to achieve.

I have read a lot about this subject myself but have yet to be able to achieve it. To be honest I haven't even tried for a very long time either! There are many cases of people that have been under anaesthetic in an operating theatre that have subliminally ended up doing this in a sense and have actualy watched what the surgeons are doing! Maybe it is because being under the anaesthetic put them in a subconscious state that they are unable to achieve themselves? It obviously is not a case of tarnscending into other dimensions and limited to their real surroundings but it is somewhat the same in that it is an out of body experience. It is something that would be amazing to achieve. Maybe I should try again some time.....

Hi James, Yes, I've heard a lot about the operating theater and how people mentioned that they are floating above their bodies and gazing down from the ceiling. I too would love to experience but hopefully not under those conditions! I find the mentioning of seeing the light at the end of the tunnel quite comforting. I really hope that this is the case and that you get to see the people you've lost once again! Andrew

I have read about that kind of situation too in some of the books that I have read. One situation was based on a little girl and she had quite a terrifying experience. She claims that she was concious and she noticed that she was half in and half out of her body! The thing that was so terrifying was the fact that she couldn't move, it's like she was frozen for a short time. I would have thought that if there was any worry or anxiety involved then you would immediately be transported back into your body.

Seeing as it only happens to people who are sleeping and no one has ever produced any evidence of actually traveling anywhere at all (it should be pretty easy to prove, if you were able to fly around and observe things remotely, right?), it seems pretty clear that it's nothing but a phenomena related to sleeping, specifically lucid dreaming (where you're able to control your dream).

I agree with you. If someone has achieved this however then they really must be feeling on top of the world! Whether you can go to different dimensions and times I'm not sure but I certainly would like to experience what it's like on the outside of your body, crazy as it sounds!! I think that the area of positive thinking comes into it too. If you believe strongly in something then I guess there is a chance that it becomes possible.
