That's a really good question.
The funny part is I have been there. Well it didn't happen all of a sudden but it didn't take long to get there. I was only a little girl when my mom and I had everything taken away from us and since my dad and mom were in the middle of a divorce we didn't have any money and we didn't have anywhere to go. We stayed in our car for about a week living off of canned soups. But one day I went onto a grocery store to make a phone call to my grandmother on my mom's side and i told her what had happen and she came down and picked us up and took us home.
But if that was to happen again I don't know what I would do. I would be so scared. And since then my mom had another baby my little sister and she remarried to a wonderful guy who I am proud to call dad. The experience that my mom and I went through I think made me the person I am today. I cherish everything I have today and if I see one that needs help I do what I can because i know when you have nothing you take what you can get.

That's a serious question, but I find it hard to answer, since I am not in that predicament. It would be easy to say I would do this or I would do that, when you haven't reached that point, but if you were really there I can't say.
You know, it's like what would you do if you had no food, but your cupboards are full of food. It's hard to put yourself there when you are not, for me anyway.
I wonder about homeless people quite often, and how do they make it on a daily basis. I find it hard to even fantasize on this subject. I certainly hope I will never be part of that statistic, but you never know.
Good discussion though, got me thinking now

that's a good question. never really know what to answer. but one things for sure, i will not do anything bad just to get out of the rut! i would probably go to the church, if i have no one to turn to... beg for a job and try to keep myself from being homeless again! :)

I have been thinking of running away, that's quite close to what you have described here. I think I would look for a job, seek assistance from the government to see if there is anything that can be done to ease my problem. They do provide fiancial assistance depending on each case and help to look for jobs for homeless people. I would live in a tent at the beach in the meantime, I already have one. It's not that easy, I guess.
