[i][b]Hi fellow mylotters.
I don't know if I used the right term "whistle".Just picture this...you are walking alone a guy or a bunch of guys will look at you and they will start to whistle..do you know how guys whistle when they see someone sexy or beautiful?
How do you react on this situation?will you get mad?do you feel that they are being rude?do you like the feeling of being noticed and being whistled by men?
Hoping for replies from you guys.

No, I won't get mad. I give them a "WTF" look, and that's about it lol.
'Cause it's weird. It's not as if I'm a supermodel...and odds are, they're older than I am, so it's encroaching into the twilight zone a little there, haha.

I do get irritated if someone whisles at me.There are times that I would stop and say "what the hell is your problem" but of course deep inside I am scared bec. I might get an answer or action that I will not like even more.So sometimes I just stare at them angrily and leave the scene.

I find it offending when someone whistles at me. Makes me think if their parents taught them anything. Lol. I usually don't mind them when they do that but there was one time that I did and I went right up to them and said "If you do that one more time, I am going to make you sorry for it." gave them a very nasty look with an even nastier hand gesture and left. Haha. Very not me. Needless to say, that shut them up really fast.

Lol. Sometimes I forget who I am sis and don't even bother with the surroundings. So far, I've been lucky though. No really bad experiences yet.

well, i wouldnt like that.. not at all. i think it's just not respectful. and i deserve better than that. i am not the noisy and vulgar kind of person so i dont like it when guys do that to me.. well, i wouldnt confront them or anything.. i wouldnt just mind them and continue walking..it's like they are making fun of me, or disrespecting me..or something.. it's not showing of appreciation as i interpret it.
i read the responses of the male mylotters and seems like they have different reaction towards this situation.. most of them doesnt get offended.. guess it's different reaction for different sexes...

you are right sis.Definitely men would react differently unlike for women you can actually think a lot of things when do that..either you don't look okay and they do it to insult you or if you are sexy or actually a lot of reason why do that but the bottom line is that its disrespecting women. Why don't they just mind their own business.

Hi there pinks17...
I always get irritated if a guy 'whistles' at me... Grr, I have a name! LOLs... I hate it because for on my point of view I find that an uncorrectable attitude, it is really a big no-no for me... I never wanted to be treated that way, they can approach me but without those horrible things. If they really wants to befriend me they'll better do it the nice way, right?

That's true but there are some girls that really get whistled by men because of what they wear. It's sometimes how the woman carries herself...what they wear, how they walk and some other stuffs that will attract mens attention that will lead to that situation. But I think nobody wants to be whistled by men.

Uhm... I would be scared if a man whistled at me though. But I would understand women if they get whistled at. It's a rude way of saying hello or you look pretty. I'd just approach the girl and tell her she is. Well, I do notice that a small number of women to like to get whistled at. I can only speculate that they like being noticed. But most women, would probably not appreciate it at all.

I'm doing ok. My boss gave me a week to rest. So I'll be back on monday. Yeah, I do think that some women do like being whistled at. I personally had never whistled at any girl ever. I do respect women a lot and I'd make ladies, especially my friends, as comfortable as they can be. Take care!

Not anymore.
I simply stop in my tracks and turn around with an inquisitive look on my face and say "I'm sorry. You must have mistaken me for Skippy the Bush Kangaroo".
Then I turn around and go on my merry way.

hi pinks,
no men will 'whistle' at me unless they are g_y
but i don't mind at all if i am walking alone and a gal or a bunch of gals look at me and starting to whistle .
well, i don't usually whistle at a gal walking alone or with her friends. i will just look at them inoffensively, just admiring their femininity.

I think you picked the right term dear.
When guys whistled, normally it is a form of attraction to how you figure to their sight but oftentimes this is also a form of just having someone they could make fun or laugh about. Either way, I find this a very rude and impolite act. However, this action will not yield any physical reaction from me. Although deep within me, I did not like the whistling, I never would go down to the extent of comfronting them and allow them to get what they want...that is...for the girl to react so that they could find more action and fun. So when I hear men whistling while I am walking... I just don't mind... I will just put a front that it has no effect on me... and they will not get even a single glance from me. If I would react they might just say... No it's not you that we are whistling for! It's a bigger embarassment!

Hi Pinks.
When i was still single, i get "whistled" at. Some friends said that i should take it as a compliment. For what? It really annoyed me, and made me felt insulted, like, "did i ask for that, or what?" Then when i got married, i realized that somehow, somewhere at the back of my mind (before) i actually wanted people to notice me, and so i dress a certain way (which of course, in my standards, was not actually cheap nor too revealing.) And the whistles i got was not actually these people's fault. They just couldn't help themselves. Good manners were not their thing, so what could have i done? Lecture them? Now, i dress a certain way when i am in public places which could never even attract any attention, not even a second glance from any man.
I would not say that it is a woman's fault why a man whistles at her, but certain places and time, and certain ways we carry ourselves do contribute much to being "whistled at."
