Hi... I just came home from a job interview and exam from a good company, at first I was so excited because the exam was very easy for me and the last exam includes speed test and I got 67wpm with 100%... oh by the way the position I've applied for is junior data analyst... So I thought that I can make it till the end, but unfortunately, I felt bad because I don't know why my initial interview with the HR Manager did not turn out fine..She said that she will be re-evaluate my resume, I don't know why she turn me down because I've answered all the questions she asked and I am just confused because I think I've had the right answers and yet the initial interview turned out just like that.. I was so depressed right now because I really like to work for that company, and I really want to work because I've resigned from my previous job since April this year... I want to earn money again.. Can someone could possibly cheer me up and maybe give me some advice on how to have a good job interview... Thanks!

I don't want to appear over critical here but as a manager myself, I would probably have doubts as you say you resigned from your previous job 4 months or so ago. To us this would seem like you are not going to be committed to the job and the chance you may get up and leave the new job. As I say I don't want to sound like this is a criticism direct at you. You don't state why you resigned from your previous post, and you would have had your own reasons for doing so. Perhaps this has given them cause for concern. Also the fact that there has been a gap in your employment history. Good luck though, and I hope that when they review your resume, they offer you a chance as you sound like you really want the job.

nope what i meant was i resigned last april from my previous job (i've stayed for the company for 2years and 5mos) and the reason why i resigned from my prev job is bec i was supposed to take my masteral education but didn't push through due to financial problem at home.. and so i have to look for work again and earn income.. i did passed the exam and i don't know why the hr mgr didn't give me a chance to work for them. one of the applicant was asked about the expected salary, but i'm just confused bec she didn't asked me about that...instead she asked for my previous salary..perhaps they are thinking that i won't accept their offer, she should have asked me right? bec if she will ask me, id definitely told her that salary is just one factor to consider, but for me what i wanted most is to get the job, and i really dont want to compare figures because i know that i have to prove myself to the company since the job would really be different from my previous job..but she just didnt give me a chance to explain my side.. i was just hesitant to ask her about that or open the topic to her bec she might think that i am arrogant or something.. what do you think?

OK; wait a minute. She said she would re-evaluate your resume. I don't see where it says you were turned down for the job. Unless that's what re-evaluate means. But I thought it meant she wants to look it over again; which is a good think.
