C'mon, admit it...what's the weirdest thing you've ever tried to microwave?

It might--did it do anything strange, like make bad smell or catch fire? Is there anything you've wanted to put in there but are afraid of messing it up?

Oh no. You are not going to get anything out me on this one. I don't use the microwave......much. But, did you ever wonder what would happen if you put microwave popcorn packets in with the this side up, down?
Getting up to go check it out. Toodles.

You took my idea!!! Actually I think my daughter did once before she could really read well and all that happened was it wasted the energy. But tell me how YOUR experiment works!

When we got a new microwave, my wife accidentally put a steel plate inside. Metallic utensils ae totally forbidden from use in microwave ovens. I do not know what would have happened had the plate stayed longer, but I noticed and pulled it out immediately and used a microwaveable plate.

It was not the weirdest, but it was...horrifying experience. I wanted to warm-up rice but the temperature was too high, and the rice started to pop-out of the dish!

Oh wow this question brings back memories. I used to put all kinds of things in the microwave when I was younger but somebody eventually would stop me when they would check what was inside. i was a really curious girl and I still am. I remember when I was about ten years old I put a bunch of crayons into the microwave because I wanted to make paint. I don't know where I got that idea from but it didn't turn out well. As for now I don't put anything in the microwave unless it's food that should be microwaved.

i put an old plate in the microwave not realizing it had little flecks of gold on it and had cool lightening type arcs inside. Other than that I cant think of anything odd that I've microwaved. I learnt early that you don't stick metal in the microwave because they can...blowup Mom put a fork in once forgetting she was using it to stir and that was the end of her microwave.
