For several weeks I'm trying to create a new Egold account, but I keep on receiving this message "New account creation is temporarily suspended", Do we need to wait for more weeks or just turn to other Payment processors such as, Paypal and AlertPay?

its a long story. but long story made short - the e-gold owner pleaded guilty to running an e-currency without a proper license, and will face the court in november.
meanwhile, e-gold's new accounts cannot be created. but the existing members can use it as usual.
if you need one, you may have to buy e-gold accounts, but very few are selling.
Just turn to other processors for now. paypal is best and secure.

I think selling of accounts is not allowed now as some contact info can not be edited and if the new owner fails to verify it when asked the account will get frozen.
Anyway, everyone now is trying to get their money out of egold and most exchangers charge about 40% to buy your egold.. It's not a good time to open a new account or fund one but it may start working again if the owner sorts out his legal problems.

Now e-gold has almost disappeared. Only a few of its merchants are still using the e-currency.
Recently, e-gold had required you to enter your Tax ID before you can manipulate your account any further. Its easy, but implies identity proof, and most of the mearchants who previously used egold - mainly HYIPs and other illegal markerters - feel insecure (for a good reason) and have dropped the processor or provided incorrect data.
Now egold isnt that reliable. Few customers - and fewer transactions.

I've never signed up for E-Gold but I'm guessing part of the reason is they are under investigation for some issues within the site. As far as other payment processors, I would go with PayPal based upon experience and mostly you'll get payments accepted there. I don't know much about AlertPay so I really can't say anything about it.

I never heard of AlertGold to be honest. I don't know much on them in the first place. I wish I could give some information on it but I can't. If it has some type of issue or you're not sure, I'd probably check with people who have it and get as much information as possible.
