Well, my hubby really do. But I just request him to have one for me when I feel I really need it. But to him? he doesn't want me to do that because he said, the more he gets pain. I don't understand why. Maybe my hand are so heavy? my friend, sometimes come to the house and let me do the massage on her back coz she said her husband wouldn't do it and do not know how to do it too. Her job is so laborious that she got a lot of back pain.
What about you? do your partner give you massage or you would go to the professional massage therapist to help you alleviate your pain. I'd rather ask him than to pay somebody. It could save me bucks to pay for gas.

Well it's good your husband can do it! Not all people have this talent. Like you and me and my husband too. He cannot give a good massage. This is not his talent. Besides, my husband arrives home usually very late at night due due to loads of work in the office. So I don't really ask him to massage me and mainly because he can't really do this job the way I want it. I don't like the feel of his massage. Even during weekend that he would volunteer to give me a body massage, I will just say never mind because I know I will just end up laughing all the time because he only tickles me with his kind of massage. He can't do this job the way my son perfectly does. It's my son who does that well for me. But because my son is also busy, there were times I'd ask my church-mate who is a massage therapist to give me a home-service.

Good your son can do it better? where did he learn? You are so fortunate to have somebody who can really do it the right way you want it to be. Here in the place where I am, I have no choice. It is really different when the one who do it knows what he/she is doing. Professional therapist here cost a lot. I have an American friend who does this for a living said, she was paid $100 per person but did it for an hour. Oh!! my goodness!!! that's a lot of money. Maybe there are some who were paid less than that.. but still very expensive. In the Philippines I paid 50 to 100 for general massage and I think that is the same as here. $50- $100

Yes, very expensive here. That is why the occupational therapist are making money in this business. I have Filipino friends.. from Manila who are working as Therapists here but very far from where I am now. Husband and wife and they are doing good with it. I could just imagine how tiresome it is.

Yes my son can do it. He learned the right strokes from a friend. I did not know it could be that expensive there in America. Well here in the Philippines it would cost you P400 from a real massage therapist but I am only being charge P150 by my churchmate.

HI Bebs,
Yea..My husband is always willing to do it once I asked him..But, it won't last since I felt like it's deep as to the deepest part of my body and I cannot take it, I mean it's nice but painful! LOL! But, very effective also once I will tolerate the pain!
I have a "manghihilot" fingers and hands..LOL! So, he loves it but I don't offer every night since when he likes it, I cannot resign early and it's tiring! LOL!
I am always the massage therapist in the Family back home!

oh wow!! I wish we are neighbors.. I always have "manghihilot" in the Philippines but here, I can not find one. I just tolerate my " kabuhi" here and my hubby just laugh at me when I told him about this.
He would say that We Filipinos are too much. they never believe what we believe. that is why there's no use explaining and arguing about it. Anyway, I know what to do when I feel that way. I am just glad that he doesn't like my way of giving massage that way, I will not be tired doing it every night.

I am personally not a fan of the massage but my wife does like them every now and again.
I do give them to her but only when she really want's one. My reaon is that my muscle strength isn't what it used to be when I was younger so I get worn out faster than she gets tired of being massaged.
Besides by paying someone else I am helping the economy by giving someone a job.
I guess that's kind of selfish of me but oh well.

This is interesting..lol. My hubby always asked me to give him rubs all the time. Whether we are watching tv, his doing his computer works, before going to bed. He always asked me to walk on his back, give him massage on his head, feet, legs. etc in short whole body massage..lol. He loves it coz according to him I have a nice touch. When it comes with me, if he noticed that I am not smiling anymore he knew there's something wrong. He never ask me if I need massage or not he will just come closer to me and give rubs on my back...hahaha..

My husband rubs my shoulders often for me because that's the main place I have fibromyalgia pain. The other places aren't really good ones to massage like the knees and elbows, stuff like that. But he does help when he can, and I do the same for him.

yea, that's the term my hubby used. BACK RUB...Well, he would ask me sometimes, if I need a back rub. Well, i really do but there are times that even if I want it, I won't because I know he is tired from his work. His job is tiring so I understand also.

When you told me about massage, i suddenly then miss my husband again. When he was here, and i saw him very tired i offered to massage him because i hate to see him in pain. Eventhough I know he doesn't want it (i don't know anything about massage :) , he still said i am good at it and i know he is lying. When he also thought that I am tired, he offered to massage me, and it's a nice feeling if your husband is willing to do it for you. It only means that he truly loves you. And now thinking about him makes me sad again.
happy mylotting!

He sure does. And it does wonders :) I love the fact that not only it helps when we are in pain, but that it's also very relaxing.
As for hubby he loves to get a massage as well. His work is driving all day and sometimes there is lot of tension on his shoulders and back. A massage helps a lot.

No my hubby don't give me massages, if I ask him to, he says he doesn't know how. Now he will massage my neck, but he ends up just hurting me, he doesn't know his strength and he has a hard grip, so I have to tell him not so hard, because it hurts...lol. I don't think I would go to a massage therapist either, I'd just have to endure the pain of my husbands grip..lol.

Do not you feel that this relationship is made for this. I think in real love no partner can see the other partner in pain. I to help my wife when ever she got severe pain on shoulders and back and when I have to sit for more in the office there is backache my wife too help me lessen it by massage. Massage by wife is really really gave me relief and get too.
How do you feel please share and comment.

Well, I am willing to help him alleviate his pain but he doesn't like it, so I am glad too because I will not be tired.

My fiance and I give each other back massages. I think to be careful I don't massage her hard enough often because I am afraid to hurt her. I think on her part she often does things too hard because she is afraid to be too soft. Communication helps just let each other know how it is going during the massage and you can get a feel for what is needed.

Hi friend,We neither go to massage centres to get massaged nor we massage each other. we hate getting massaged bcoz it becomes a habit once you get massaged. You feel like getting massaged everyday without which you would feel difficult. So we try to relax and get a good sleep after which your pain and tiredness disappears.Have a great day.Happy mylotting.
