Tales of Beedle the Bard

I went in WHSmiths with my boyfriend as he was wanting some drawing pencils, so he can get up at 2am in the morning with the sudden urge to draw and have decent 10B pencils lol.
When we went to the desk the woman was asking if I wanted to put a £1 deposit down for the book and I would get a classic Puffin book free, as I had no money I declined, but I think I will do as I love JK Rowling.
I just don't think that this book is going to be half as good as Harry Potter though and I think that is shown since you can get it for £3.99, which is about half the price.
For those who do not know what I am talking about, in the final Harry Potter book, Hermione got given a book called "Tales of Beedle and Bard" off Dumbledore. Well this is the book. J.K.Rowling wrote it for all those fans, such as myself, who were disappointed at Harry Potter ending (and to get more money for herself obviously).
Anyone else going to buy the book and if so why?
Because you think it sounds interesting?
Or because you love Harry Potter?

I have never even read any of the books or for that matter watched any of the films in full so I would probably say that I am unlikely to buy the book! x

I doubt anyone, who is not remotely interested in Harry Potter will buy this book as it is linked to the series although it is not part of it.

hey iz this true??? what are you guys talking about??? that book isnt for sale , there are only seven copies on sold to amazon and the others given as gifts to people close to jk rowling,it just has seven small tales and i got those tales, if any one wants plz ask me.its on wiki. that book isnt for sale at all.
but she is gonna write an encyclopaedia , or so i heard

Yes this it too and us guys are talking about the normal version of the book, not the special edition. The book is for sale, just not at the moment (it is coming out in December as the member above you stated) and I think a person working in a big well known store, taking deposits for the book is going to know whether or not it is coming out. I also heard she is going to write an encyclopaedia, but I have not heard anything final about that, only a rumour.

A friend of mine actually bought the book and said it was beyond terrible and she hated it. I'll probably end up buying it anyways though b/c a lot of times things that other ppl hate, I end up liking. I like the Harry Potter series even though I don't really like the author.

The book will be out in December... and yes... think i will get my own copy... just the simple one... i cannot afford the collector's item... i am already saving up so that i can buy one... good thing it is not as expensive as the other Harry Potter books... it would be a good addition to my own collection...

Thank you for that piece of information, I did not know when it was coming out as I did not bother to ask the sales assistant, since I just wanted to get out of the store and get back to the car, since our time was running out in the parking lot.
