Pc to 360 songs

ok i have always wanted to get my music on to my 360 but never really tried. my computer recently crashed and i lost all my songs. when i fixed my computer and re installed itunes all i had were those 3 free songs. i got a bunch of my songs back with bit tornado but i still dont want to plug my ipod into my computer or i will lose all my songs completely. i have to questions in one. A: when i connect my laptop to my xbox like i did and i did it correctly why is it that ironically only the songs from itunes show up and none of the ones from bit tornado do. and B: is it possible to restore the songs on my computer from my ipod.
