yes i do, but its more as a hobby than to make money. I like to make necklaces for myself and they are great to give people as gifts b/c they are personal. it can get to be an expensive hobby, but i've been doing it off and on for several years so i have collected quite the assortment of beads. hope this helps! i don't want to discourage you though, it is very fun and rewarding!!

I have found that it can be expensive. I was able to find a great kit with some beautiful glass beads today, 50% off, and it was a great deal & I am now working on making 6 pairs of earrings that I plan to give as gifts to some friends for Christmas. I am not so sure I could do it to make money though.

I make gothic and chainmail jewelry. It is a lot of fun and I do sell it. I have a website that I am still trying to get ranked on the search engines. I also sell through Ebay and get a lot of customers through MySpace. I also do fairs and festivals. It takes a lot of patience and time and energy to get a business like this going. It has to be your passion because you sure don't get rich quick!

It does require a lot of creativity, as I have recently found. But it is lots of fun!

I do it, I make fine craft jewelry with gemstones, it's fun creative and can make you money if you know the business aspect of it

There are so many types of jewelry to make. Tonight I'm teaching a class on making a Y-necklace with beads. Some of the types of jewelry that you can learn include lampwork beads, dichoric glass, macrame', chainmaile, seed or shell necklaces, lost wax casting, pearl stringing or dozens of types of beadwork.

That is a lot of different types. I do not know a lot about it, but i have been interested in learning more. I'll bet it is helpful to take a class to get started.

I don't but my mom does. She does jewelry shows where she goes to people's homes. She also has booths at various functions.

Does your mom do the shows where the ladies make the jewelry? Or does she sell jewelry through direct sales? I was thinking about getting involved w/a direct sales jewelry job, but haven't been able to meet anyone who has done it successfully yet.

I do, but for me it's a hobby.
I do think it's a great idea to earn some extra cash.
Heck, when you start let me know so I can buy something.

I make jewelry as a hobby. I only use glass beads, and I don't do any of that wiring type work. I give them as gifts or wear them myself. I love it!! It can get expensive, but it's a lot of fun!! I think it's a great stress reliever too!! :-)
