I just went to see what from my shop had sold and I noticed that my Petpet Lab Map is missing! I checked the sales history and it isn't in there, it's just gone and all the points I had in my shop till were 100. Has anything ever disappeared from your shop? Where does it go? What can you do about it?

That sounds bad. It could be a typing error. For example you wanted to type 10 000 np you typed 100 np so the map was sold away very quickly. Also, the sales history only take notes of items that are sold more than 1000 np.
There should be no reason your item just disappears like that. Could it be when you were putting it into the shop you accidently placed it into the safety deposit box?

It turns out that my account had actually been hacked. A couple of days after the item went missing from my shop, 4,000,000 neopoints went missing from my bank account as well along with a lot of irreplaceable items from my Safety Deposit Box. Lesson learned, password changed. I don't think I'll ever get back up to that many neopoints again though.

Sometimes the ghosts from the money tree will come and take both items and money from you. A good way to deflect this is to give some nps back to the money tree so that they don't feel the need to take it. Most of the time you will get a something has happened notice somewhere on your screen that says they took from you.

Remember that ghosts cannot take anything that is in your shop, safe deposit box or even in your gallery or if its up for auction or on the trades.
Ghosts can and will take things that are sitting in your inventory and any np you have out on hand but thats the only way.

I have mis-priced things - the most recent was a Codestone that I meant to sell for 17,000 but priced it at 1,700 - I didn't catch it until I checked the sales history. Sounds like it either got priced wrong or something happened to it when it was being moved.
