Should we send our boys and girls who just graduated from high
school to fight the war.? There babies and haven't lived there life
yet. Is that fair.?Or, I have a better idea.
Should we send the men and woman on death row, who are in prison to fight
the war. Let them earn there food and up keep for a change.
And give our innocent men and women a break.
It is called death row after all. Right.
Am I being too harsh, or would this be fair.?
How long do people stay on death row for free.? They live a life of crime
then get to live a life just sitting around for free. At least in
the field they would be getting to do what they like. Most of them
any ways. Shooting at other people.
Am I wrong? This is my son at Graduation.

Hi Walk..This is what happened to my youngest son almost 6 yrs ago..he graduated High school and was sent to boot camp the next day...he had a full head of hair, but with the stress and now getting ready for his second deployment..he's lost alot of hair...he can't have a life cause the Gov. owns him..he was lied to by the recruiters that come in the high school and talk money and free college..if my Son was 17 I could have gotten him out and he would be mad at me but at least he'd be safer, but he was 18 and nothing I could do back then...
I think the leaders of the country should fight it out...

When they are 18 they are considered an adult. He read the contract (or should of). It spells out everything.

I don't think it is fair for the recruiters to come to your
kids schools. It is unfair to the kids and breaking the
trust of parents.
I was lucky my son didn't turn 18 till the day after
he graduated. So he did not in list. Although I guess he
could have. But I would not have signed for it.
The recruiters called our house every day sometimes, I just
wouldn't answer. They even came once to our house when wasn't
home, came in and talked to my son. I was so mad I called the office
and cursed them out.
I think this is a decision for an adult to make. not a child.
Not any child.

I understand how you feel.
This is my opinion:
Criminals will be hard to control and for the goverment to give them a weapon and send them to fight a war, there is no telling what would they do or how would they react in another country.
Young people, well they can sorta control more.
I am sure it has to be with management and with liability.
I have a daughter in high school, I am afraid since so many young men and women are dying in Iraq that a draft will be in place for both men and women.

See that's just the thing, you have to catch them early. Understandably not everyone from jail or prison should be sent into the military. But on a case by case basis if some of these criminals were caught early, say their first offense where they have to do, uum, more than two years (Don't cite me, I know very little about law and sentencing) and they look like they could be turned around, they should be sent. Go through basic training and all to get their mind right. It could be the thing to keep them from going to jail a second and third time and living off the taxpayers dollar.

I agree with you. A way to work off there sentence.
I second guessed my statement.
It was not quit right.
Hard criminals would not be right to send.
I was wrong about that. ..
Thanks for your comments......:-)

One person or the other has to do it. If they send young boys and girls it is due to that they think that young people r more action packed and strong with active mind..If prisoners are send then they will instead of fighting the war, will join the enemies..Yes, it's too difficult for parents to see their children in these things..But you should be proud that your son is serving his country. He is doing what many of us can not think of ...
