The U.S. presidential election is fast approaching. Who are you voting for - Obama or McCain? Why?

I'm voting for Obama because I believe that he'll get us out of the war sooner, he's better on climate change issues, he's better for women (even though McCain tried to flimflam us by selecting a woman VP from Alaska, whom no one has ever heard of, who doesn't live in Alaska. Even political animals like me, I live, sleep and breathe politics, have no idea who she is.) I also think that disabled people and LGBT folks as well as people of color will be better off under an Obama administration. Voting for McCain will just set liberation back a few decades in my opinion. McCain used to be a pretty liberal guy. He supported universal health care and the Community Choice Act, which would allow disabled people to receive personal assistant services wherever in the country they live. Presently, it's up to your state whether they offer services or not, although nursing homes are required in every state. I hope that I have been clear enough for you.

Yes, you have been very clear. I saw Obama's speech in the democratic convention and I must say that he's one very charismatic man, just like Bill Clinton and John F. Kennedy. He also has a solid platform. Although I'm not from America, this also concerns me (im from the philippines) because whatever happens to the most powerful country in the world will definitely affect what happens to smaller countries like mine.

I agree, if I were not an American, I'd be concerned about who we picked in the United States, too. We do dictate to some degree what happens to the rest of the world. It might not be fair, but it's a fact.

I am definetely voting for obama why well I would love to see us have a black president but that's not the only reason he understands that gta grand theft auto games are all very violent and should be kept out of the hands of minors and also he know that the people dislike war and he also knows that everytime a soldier is killed, be it on the enemy's side or our side that a family looses a loved one. That's my opinion.
