It depends on the severity of the ego! If someone's ego is to the point of belittling their partner and making them feel unhappy with themselves then it is a bad thing. You can have an ego and not be hurtful to others in my opinion. If someone's ego becomes arrogance and you suffer as a result then I would not wish to be in a situation like that.

EGO is defined as 1. The self, especially as distinct from the world and other selves.
2. In psychoanalysis, the division of the psyche that is conscious, most immediately controls thought and behavior, and is most in touch with external reality.

1. An exaggerated sense of self-importance; conceit.
2. Appropriate pride in oneself; self-esteem.
So I find that the ego is conflicting but but we are all have an ego and it depends on whether it is an exaggerated sense of self or Appropriate pride in oneself. The lattre I think we find healthy in any relationship.

it defntly plays a spoil sport in our life...but we still cant live without tht...we need2 have ego...cant deny tht

ego?sometimes you need it.. trust me. if you don't have ego, your partner will get boring at you..
