this is again another excerpt from the book that i loved to read..
the first step toward a calm confidence in the future is to learn to believe that LIFE IS GOOD. the Bible says, "We know that all things work together for good to them that love God" (Romans 8:28). that principle applies to the future equally as it does to the present or to the past. that does not mean that everything that happens will be good. life is composed of both joy and sorrow, victory and defeat, success and failure,. and we know that tomorrow will probably bring both food and bad into our lives. knowing that, we must think of life as a whole instead of merely separate experiences.
here is an illustration: think of a ship. the purpose of a ship is to sail across the seas- but not all parts of the ship will float. the engine, for example, if put on the water would immediately sink. so would the propeller, the compass and many other parts of the ship. but when all parts of the ship are securely built together, it does sail..
so with life. some things that will happen to us are bad. somethings will be good. but when we consider all the experiences of life, carefully cementing them together with our love for God, then life as a whole will work out for good for us. and that is the faith we really want. we do not ask for the assurance that all the sorrows, disappointments and troubles be eliminated from our tomorrows. we do not really want that.

It sounds like it would be a good book to read. I enjoy learning about a new book and one that would be good to read. This sounds like a good book that I would want to read. What is the name of the book?
