what do you do to release anger?

Everyone has their own method of releasing any anger and frustrations.. No one stays calm all of the time, and in every day situations something is bound to make you frustrated.. i have at times wanted to throw something across the room, but of course i look for something that not going to break haha or i would slam a door.. It quite funny how this can help.. Or have a temper tantrum like a child with stamping my feet.. When my daughter lived with me, her room had a sliding door so she couldn't slam it for me to be aware she was angry with me she told me she would deliberately slam the bathroom door, then go in her bedroom and then throw the metal waste bin across the room (ended up with a few dents in it..) I think some of the temper tantrums we can have at times can be quite funny.. how do you release built up anger?

Hi friend! Last time i will release my anger by going to bath. To cool down myself, i guess. I will start brushing the bathroom and get myself really tired in there. But now, i don't do so anymore (i guess my mum is unhappy about that...=P) Now, I choose to drink a lot of water to cool myself down. And the best of all, i have my dear to cool me down. A single kiss can do so, believe me. =) Btw, as age grow, it's more easy to hold a temper. Too tired to hold it too long, isn't it?

before, i would quiet out and be silent and silently avenge that person.. hehe.. i would go to the CR and cry there. i would tell others.. and i would shout out. but this time, i would discuss it here in mylot.. hehe.. thankfully, i have an outlet that pays me too..hehe

haha.. revenge is sweet, so the saying goes surely if angry you don't calmly come over to mylot, maybe stamp your feet as you scurry here, hitting the keyboard that much harder then normal thanks for sharing, you have wonderful day happy mylotting

I do get angry one in a while. I try to stifle things. I know that can't really be good. But sometimes I have been known to release anger in the wrong way and I don't like to hurt anyone's feelings. I like your idea of the swinging door. I never thought of that one! I do think that it is good to release anger but maybe in a more positive way. Like say just taking a walk or just meditating.

i agree, it is better in a more positive way but sometimes we can let anger get the better of us. Anyway it is better to release it then to let it boil inside.. Sometimes if just stamp your feet (not hurting anyone else, only your own feet lol) which is how children get over tantrums hehe.. tires you out so you then feel calmer to tackle the situation thanks for sharing and have wonderful day happy mylotting

i think i know what you mean... it not good to keep it stored up inside because then as say, it doubles, and not going away, until you will just explode..And many little things makes a big thing.. We all have our own methods of releasing it, even if its a long bath to calm us, walk or making some noise which gets the tension out I suppose a punch bag be good hehe thanks for response and have a great day happy mylotting
