Democrats Want Gas Prices to Stay High

I saw this a while back and finally decided to post it.
The democrats have been blaming Bush and the Republicans for everything they possibly can, despite the fact that the economy didn't tank until the Democrats gained control of Congress.
Since our economy is based in a large part on oil, when the price of fuel is high it drives the price of everything else up as well, which results in the high food prices that we are now seeing... which makes it even harder on everyone's budget.
For all of their talk about being for the little guy, one of the democrats accidentally let the truth out in an interview.... they support the high gas prices because they want to wean Americans off of petroleum, and if the gas prices are high enough then we will drive less.
This is not about doing what is right for America, this is about the Democrats trying to dictate our lives and choices through economic pressure while blaming it on the Republicans.

Since this article was published, Pelosi recessed the House in order to stop domestic drilling debate when it appeared likely that the moratorium on domestic drilling would be lifted.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has stated that he sees no problem with gas prices going to $5 a gallon....

As if that isn't enough, we now have Democrats who want to Nationalize our oil industry... they want to control not only the oil companies, but they also want to control the price and supply of oil....

As one Oil Executive later pointed out, this idea is communism, and is exactly what Chavez has done.
How can the Democrats claim to be for the average working man when they obviously are thinking only of expanding their own power, and want to dictate our choices?

There is a philosophy practiced by the democrats and other elitists that I despise. I call it the "I lied to you in your own best interest.", philosophy.
Both our major political parties regard people like we myLotters as idiots too stupid to understand complex economic or political issues, so they lie to us, but only with the best of intentions. So, they say when caught.
"I lied to you in your own best interest.", explains the whole lie of dumbocrats being for the common man. In their warped minds, the dumbocrats are for us. You see, we are too stupid to understand gasoline should be $10 per gallon for the sake of the world. So, while they are causing our wallets to be emptied and our living standard to be lowered, it really is for our own good, if only we were smart enough to 'get it'.
We have the dumbocrats to thank for this.
If you disagree, please, say a prayer thanking God we have such selfless compassionate people in our government and vote for Obama.
If you agree we don't need $10 per gallon gas, please, say a prayer thanking God while asking Him to help guide John McCain as President of the USA and vote for John McCain.
